New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday distributed appointment letters to more than 51,000 young people across the country during the 20th Rozgar Mela. Newly appointed candidates received their appointment letters at programmes organised in different parts of the country. The Rozgar Mela aims to formally connect selected candidates with government service across various government departments and institutions.

Prime Minister Modi addressed the programme through video conferencing and congratulated the newly appointed candidates and their families. He said that the energy, capabilities and talent of young people play an important role in the country’s development. He called upon the youth to discharge their responsibilities with honesty and dedication.

Appointments through the Rozgar Mela have been made in various central government ministries, departments and institutions. These include positions related to administration, railways, posts, security, finance and other sectors. For the selected candidates, the appointment marks a new beginning in their careers in government service.

During the programme, the Prime Minister described young people as an important part of India’s development journey. He said that along with increasing employment opportunities, continuous emphasis is also being placed on skill development among the youth.

The 20th Rozgar Mela was held at a time when young people continue to show interest in government jobs and employment opportunities. The candidates receiving appointment letters expressed happiness, with several describing the development as an important achievement for their careers and families.
