Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand Agitators Sangharsh Morcha has called for a Jharkhand bandh on September 30 in protest against the alleged neglect of its various demands. The organisation is conducting a public outreach campaign in different areas of East Singhbhum district to make the shutdown successful.

On Monday, the Morcha submitted a memorandum to the Patamda police station in-charge regarding the shutdown. Through the memorandum, the police administration was informed about the proposed shutdown. The organisation also requested that peace and law and order be maintained in the area.

Allegation That Demands Have Been Ignored Even After 26 Years

The Jharkhand Agitators Sangharsh Morcha says that even nearly 26 years after the formation of the state, expected action has not been taken on various demands related to agitators. The organisation has called for a statewide shutdown in protest against this.

According to the Morcha, the government has repeatedly been reminded of the demands of the agitators. Despite this, the organisation has chosen the path of agitation because the expected initiative has not been taken on the demands.

Public Outreach to Make Shutdown Successful

In support of the shutdown, organisation workers are contacting people in East Singhbhum and various other areas. During the public outreach campaign, people are being appealed to make the shutdown successful.

The Morcha has also spoken of maintaining peace during the shutdown and cooperating with the administration. In the memorandum submitted to the police administration, a request was made to maintain law and order in the area.
