On the occasion of Hariyali Teej, a grand Teej Mahotsav was organized at Kaina Light Hotel in Sakchi, Jamshedpur, with the joint initiative of the National Corruption Control & Human Welfare Organization and Srishti Mahila Vikas Sahyog Samiti Limited, Jharkhand. The event aimed to promote women’s social, cultural and creative participation.
The programme was inaugurated by Jamshedpur SP Rishabh Tiwari, BJP leader Meera Munda, social worker Purvi Ghosh, and Principal Dr. Aarti Rijhawan, who jointly performed the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony. The celebrations began with a Ganesh Vandana, followed by impressive dance, singing and theatrical performances by women, creating a festive atmosphere.
On the occasion, prominent personalities, educationists, journalists and social workers who have made notable contributions to the fields of education and social service were felicitated with shawls, ceremonial garments and mementoes.
Women dressed in traditional attire added to the festive spirit and brought the vibrant colors of Teej to the entire celebration.
A key role in the successful organization of the event was played by Rani Gupta, Deputy Director of the National Corruption Control & Human Welfare Organization and President of Srishti Mahila Vikas Sahyog Samiti Limited, as well as a senior social worker.
In her welcome address, Rani Gupta said that such events provide women with an opportunity to showcase their talents while strengthening mutual interaction, social bonding and unity.
The programme was conducted by Dr. Shyam Sharma, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Neetu Singh. Savita Devi, Sandhya Rani and other members of the organization also made significant contributions to the successful conduct of the event.
The organizers said that similar programmes would continue to be organized in the future with the objective of promoting women’s talent, social awareness and Indian cultural traditions.
