Nalkheda. Young social worker and blood-donation volunteer Shubham Singh Gaur from Khandwa was honoured with the ‘Chakravarti Samrat Ashoka Award’ at a national award ceremony held on September 19, 2026, in Nalkheda, the sacred city of Maa Baglamukhi. He was recognised for his work in social service and blood donation.

The national-level ceremony honoured individuals who have made notable contributions to social service, humanitarian work and various other fields. According to organisers, Shubham Singh Gaur was selected for the honour in recognition of his efforts to arrange blood for patients in need and encourage people to donate blood regularly.

Shubham Singh Gaur is the coordinator of ‘Jai Maharana Blood Donation Group India, Khandwa’. He has been working for a long time to arrange blood for patients in need while spreading awareness about the importance of blood donation. He also regularly donates blood himself and encourages others to participate in the social cause.

His services are not limited to general patients. He also helps arrange blood for children suffering from thalassemia and other patients in need. His objective is to ensure that patients and their families do not face difficulties in treatment because of a shortage of blood.

After receiving the honour, Shubham Singh Gaur said that the award was not merely a personal achievement for him but also an inspiration to strengthen his responsibility towards social service. He expressed his commitment to continue his work in blood donation and humanitarian service.
