BJP state spokesperson Abhay Singh held a press conference and targeted Congress over the issue of SIR (Special Intensive Revision). He alleged that Congress was unnecessarily opposing SIR and engaging in politics by questioning constitutional institutions.

Abhay Singh said the Election Commission had clarified that decisions related to SIR had been taken unanimously. Despite this, he said Congress continued to raise questions about the process. The BJP leader alleged that Congress was attempting to mislead the public.

‘Congress Raises Issues After Defeat’

Abhay Singh alleged that after losing elections, Congress raises questions over EVMs, the Election Commission or other issues. According to him, the party does so in an attempt to divert attention from its electoral failure.

He described SIR as a process for organizing and revising electoral rolls and said it should not be viewed as a conspiracy against any political party.

Attack on Congress Over Employment

The BJP state spokesperson continued his political criticism of Congress, saying the party currently had no concrete issue. He remarked that Congress leaders and workers were “unemployed” and said the party should leave the politics of allegations and counter-allegations and focus on real issues.

Questions Raised Over Jamshedpur Police

During the press conference, Abhay Singh also questioned the functioning of Jamshedpur Police. He alleged that effective control over crime in the city was not being achieved and that incidents of assaults involving ordinary people were being reported.

He demanded that the police administration improve law and order and ensure the safety of the general public.

The BJP leader spoke about several issues during the press conference, including SIR, Congress’s politics and law and order in Jamshedpur. A response from Congress and the police administration to his allegations was not available for this report.
