There is major relief for passengers travelling home during Dussehra and Diwali, as the Railways has announced the operation of 10 special trains in view of the rising rush during the festive season. These trains will provide rail services between Mumbai and several major cities, including destinations in Uttar Pradesh, Chennai, Bengaluru and Thiruvananthapuram.
These special trains will operate on different dates. Keeping passenger convenience in mind, ticket booking for these trains began on September 27, 2026.
