On Friday, the Pune Municipal Corporation demolished the unauthorised portions of rooftop hotels in the Wadgaonsheri and Bhandarkar Road region. Vikram Kumar, the municipal commissioner, recently met with representatives from the department of building permits and requested that they take action against unlawful rooftop hotels. Residents have complained to officials multiple times, wanting action against these establishments. They annoy the residents of surrounding residential housing societies with their loud music and decorative lights.
