The weather in Bihar has changed its pattern, with the state receiving around 36 percent less rainfall than the normal estimate this monsoon season. With the time for the monsoon withdrawal approaching, a change in weather conditions has been observed over the past four to five days. Rain has continued in different parts of the state.

On Friday, September 18, the weather department issued a yellow alert for rain in 19 districts of Bihar. Along with rain, there is also a possibility of thunder and lightning at some places.

In the capital Patna, cloudy conditions are expected throughout the day. The weather department has advised people to remain cautious during bad weather and, in case of lightning, stay away from open areas, trees and electric poles.

During rain and lightning, people have been advised to avoid going outside unnecessarily and keep an eye on weather-related warnings.
