Gopalganj. A dispute between two groups over water falling from a roof escalated into a physical clash in Marwa Tola village under Manjhagarh police station limits. Six people were injured in the incident. All the injured were admitted to hospital for treatment. Both sides informed police following the incident, and an investigation has begun.

According to information available, the dispute began over water falling from the roof of one side’s house. One side alleged that water from the other side’s roof was falling near their house. When they objected, the dispute escalated and turned into a physical confrontation. It has been alleged that sticks were used during the clash.

From one side, Motilal Pandit, his wife Sharda Devi and their son Anil Pandit were injured. From the other side, Bhola Sah, his son Jitendra Sah and daughter Punita Kumari were reportedly injured. All the injured were initially taken to Manjhagarh Community Health Centre. After first aid, doctors referred them to Model Sadar Hospital for further treatment considering their condition.

Both sides have informed police about the incident. Police have begun investigating the matter, including the actual reason behind the dispute and the role of those allegedly involved in the assault.

Police are also keeping a watch on the situation in the village following the incident, as a minor local dispute escalated into violence. Further action will be based on the allegations made by both sides and the statements of the injured.
