Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor has questioned the government and police system over encounters being carried out against criminals in Bihar. He said that crime will not end by shooting criminals, and that better policing and improvements in law and order are needed to control crime.

Commenting on the policy of encounters, Prashant Kishor said that if encounters could stop crime, peace would have already been established in Kashmir. He said shooting a criminal is not a permanent solution to controlling crime.

According to Prashant Kishor, those who present shooting criminals as a definition of crime control are misleading people. He stressed the importance of improving the functioning of the police system to control crime.

He said that preventing crime requires improving police efficiency, ensuring effective enforcement of the law and focusing on a better policing system.
