Bengaluru, Karnataka: Continuous rain caused waterlogging in several parts of the city, affecting traffic movement during the busy morning hours. Office-goers and students faced considerable difficulties in reaching their destinations due to water accumulating on the roads.

Rain continued in several areas until Tuesday morning. Rain and waterlogging slowed the movement of vehicles on the roads, and passengers at several places had to spend additional time travelling. People who left their homes for work and studies as usual faced difficulties due to the weather conditions.

Waterlogging was reported from different parts of the city. Accumulated water on the roads also forced motorists to travel cautiously. Traffic pressure is already higher during the morning hours, and rain and waterlogging further increased people’s difficulties.

The impact of the rain was not limited to traffic. Several trees were also uprooted in different parts of the city. This increased difficulties for people at the local level and also affected movement at some places.

The problem of waterlogging and disruption of traffic during rain has continued to emerge in Bengaluru. A similar situation was witnessed in several parts of the city after overnight rain on Tuesday. For now, people are having to exercise caution while travelling amid the rain.
