BAHRAIN: The Maharashtra Cultural Society organised a grand Ganpati festival in Bahrain. A large number of devotees participated in the one-and-a-half-day celebration. According to the organisers, more than 1,000 devotees visited to seek the blessings of Ganpati Bappa.

The event was organised with the objective of keeping Maharashtra’s cultural traditions alive abroad, and members of the Indian community participated enthusiastically. A large number of devotees arrived for Ganpati Bappa’s darshan, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the event.

According to the organisers, after the one-and-a-half-day celebration, the Ganpati idol was immersed on September 16. Devotees bid farewell to Bappa with devotion and enthusiasm and prayed for his return the following year.

The event offered a glimpse of Maharashtra’s culture and the traditions of Ganeshotsav. For the Maharashtrian community living abroad, the celebration also provided an opportunity to remain connected with their culture and traditions.
