RANCHI: Weather conditions have started changing once again in Jharkhand. According to the latest forecast from the India Meteorological Department, cloudy conditions and rain accompanied by thunderstorms may continue in several parts of the state over the next few days. Thunder and lightning have been forecast at several places on September 21 and 22. After this, a warning for heavy rain has also been issued for some areas between September 23 and 25.

According to the weather department, Jharkhand may experience strong winds along with thunderstorms and lightning on September 21. Weather conditions are also expected to remain active on September 22. People staying in open areas have therefore been advised to take special precautions.

Rainfall activity may increase from September 23. The weather department has issued a warning for heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds across the state for September 23, 24 and 25.

Temperature May Also Change

Rain and cloudy conditions may lead to a drop in daytime temperatures. Several districts may get relief from humidity, while continuous rainfall could also lead to waterlogging in low-lying areas.

Weather conditions in Ranchi and surrounding areas are also being closely monitored. The Meteorological Centre in Ranchi issues regular weather forecasts for the state along with warnings related to thunderstorms and lightning for the next few hours.

The weather department has advised people to stay away from trees, electric poles and open fields during thunderstorms and to pay attention to local weather warnings. Farmers and people travelling on roads have also been advised to remain cautious in view of sudden changes in weather.

This change in weather during the final week of September could lead to increased rainfall activity across Jharkhand in the coming days.
