RANCHI: After announcing the names of presidents of its various fronts and cells, the Jharkhand BJP has now begun preparations to form their state-level committees. More than 60 leaders are expected to be given responsibilities in the proposed teams of seven organisational fronts. The party leadership has emphasised bringing a new generation of leaders into these committees.
The proposed organisational structure is expected to provide around 33% representation to women. Special emphasis will also be placed on including new faces in the Yuva Morcha, Mahila Morcha and Kisan Morcha. According to the party’s plan, around 60% of the names in the front teams could come from youth, women, OBC and tribal communities.
The state leadership has instructed the presidents of the various fronts to prepare their respective teams. The committees are being prepared for finalisation before Durga Puja. The strategy is said to involve giving young workers new responsibilities at the state level and providing them with opportunities to gain political and organisational experience.
District Workers May Also Get an Opportunity
The new committees are also expected to include active and experienced workers from the district level. Considering the organisational experience of leaders who worked at the district level during Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, the party is planning to give such workers state-level responsibilities and provide them with further training.
District in-charges have been asked to suggest potential names. The process is also expected to take youth participation along with social and regional representation into consideration.
The BJP has recently appointed state presidents for various organisational fronts in Jharkhand, including Shashank Raj for the Yuva Morcha and Ranjay Bharti for the Scheduled Caste Morcha, among others.
With the formation of the new committees, the BJP’s focus will remain on giving responsibilities to new faces, connecting district-level workers with state-level roles and increasing participation from different social groups.
