Jamshedpur, September 26, 2026: Police have intensified the investigation into the robbery at Canara Bank in the Golmuri police station area. A reward of ₹2 lakh has been announced for information leading to the arrest of each of the five suspects who remain absconding. Following the announcement, the scope of the investigation has been expanded to trace the suspects.

According to police officials, the investigation team formed after the bank robbery is conducting raids at possible hideouts. Technical evidence is also being used to gather clues about the identities and movements of the suspects. Police are examining CCTV footage from surrounding areas and collecting information about the routes allegedly used by the suspects.

Investigating agencies are also trying to determine how long the suspects may have conducted a recce of the bank before carrying out the robbery. Police suspect that the incident may have been carried out in a planned manner. The investigation team is therefore examining activities around the bank as well as the possible contacts of the suspects.

Police have appealed to the public to immediately inform authorities if anyone has any information about the five suspects. The reward has been announced to gather information about the absconding suspects and assist in their arrest.

Following the bank robbery, concerns over security in Golmuri and nearby commercial areas have also increased. Traders have demanded increased police patrolling and surveillance in the area.

Several police teams are currently searching for the suspects. Officials said the investigation is progressing on the basis of available evidence and continuous action is being taken to arrest those allegedly involved.
