New Delhi: Independent Bhardwaj, who was arrested in connection with the alleged assault on the father of a student activist at Jantar Mantar, has been released from Tihar Jail. He was released late Thursday night, three days after the court granted him three weeks of interim bail.

A video of Bhardwaj leaving the jail has also surfaced. In the video, Bhardwaj can be seen quickly walking towards a car waiting outside Tihar Jail. He then gets into the car with his associates and leaves the spot.

Three-Week Interim Bail Granted

According to the report, a Delhi court had granted Bhardwaj three weeks of interim bail. Following completion of the necessary legal formalities, he was released from Tihar Jail.

The case is related to the alleged assault of the father of a student activist during a protest at Jantar Mantar. Police had arrested Bhardwaj in connection with the case.

Supporters and Media Present Outside Jail

Media personnel and Bhardwaj’s associates were present outside the jail at the time of his release. In the video that surfaced, he can be seen walking directly towards the car without stopping and leaving after getting inside.

Further legal proceedings in the case will continue in court. Interim bail does not mean that the allegations in the case have been finally decided.
