Congress Seva Dal chief Srinivas B.V. has made serious allegations against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and demanded his resignation. He alleged that elections are being “stolen” and said that Gyanesh Kumar now has no option other than stepping down.

Srinivas attended a tribute programme at Shaheedi Park in Delhi on Monday on the occasion of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh’s birth anniversary. During the event, he spoke about the Election Commission and the Chief Election Commissioner.

He said that the Congress Seva Dal would launch a movement demanding Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation. Srinivas said the organisation would raise its voice on the issue and hold further protest programmes.

His statement comes at a time when political parties continue to debate the electoral process and the role of the Election Commission. The Congress and opposition parties have periodically raised questions on various issues related to the electoral process. The Election Commission, meanwhile, is the constitutional body responsible for conducting elections.

During the programme, Srinivas also remembered Bhagat Singh’s contribution and paid tribute to his ideas and sacrifice for the country. He said the organisation would remain active on democratic values and its political issues.
