Jamshedpur: Mango Transport Nagar is all set to be immersed in the colours of Vishwakarma Puja this time. The Jamshedpur Truck and Trailer Owners Association will organise a grand Vishwakarma Puja celebration from September 17. From prayers to Akhand Ramayan and devotional music, the premises will witness a religious and cultural atmosphere for three days.
Association President Jasveer Singh and General Secretary Manish Kumar Singh gave details of the programme at a press conference held Tuesday at the organisation’s office located in the Transport Nagar parking area. They said that the Vishwakarma Puja will formally begin at 10 am on September 17. Prasad will be distributed among devotees at 1 pm.
This will be followed by the beginning of the Akhand Ramayan recitation at 7 pm, which will conclude on the evening of September 18. On the following day, that is, a special devotional music programme will be held from 7 pm on September 19. Renowned devotional singer Shehnaz Akhtar will be the main attraction of the programme. Devotees will be seen enjoying her devotional songs and immersed in the spirit of devotion. Prasad will also be distributed among devotees during the programme.
Meanwhile, a procession for the immersion of the Lord Vishwakarma idol will be taken out on September 20. According to the organisers, preparations for the Puja celebration are underway in full swing. The event at Transport Nagar will take the form of a social and cultural celebration along with religious devotion.
