The tech giant has officially unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first-ever foldable iPhone, introducing a completely new design to the iPhone lineup.

The biggest highlight? The phone opens up to reveal a 7.6-inch display, while the outer screen measures 5.4 inches, giving users a tablet-like experience in a smartphone-sized device.

Apple’s Most Ambitious iPhone Yet?

The iPhone Duo is powered by Apple's latest A20 Pro chip and comes with a dual-battery architecture designed to support the larger foldable display.

Apple says the device can deliver up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display and up to 44 hours using the outer display.

The phone also features a titanium frame and an advanced hinge mechanism designed for Apple's new foldable form factor.

48MP Cameras and 4K Video

Apple has equipped the iPhone Duo with a 48MP Fusion Main camera and a 48MP Fusion Ultra Wide camera.

The company says users will also get advanced video capabilities, including 4K recording at up to 120fps in Dolby Vision.

The foldable design brings another interesting feature: users can use the rear cameras while viewing the framing on the other side of the phone.

Apple has priced the new foldable iPhone starting at $1,999 in the US for the 256GB model.

Higher storage variants will also be available, going up to 2TB.

Apple says pre-orders will begin on October 16, 2026, with availability starting October 23.
