Kochi: If friendship is true, then distance cannot become a wall between the relationship. A similar emotional story has come to light, where a woman travelled nearly 48 hours from Canada to Kochi to attend her childhood friend's wedding. What made it special was that she did not even tell her friend that she was coming to the wedding, but instead made an excuse that she would not be able to attend in order to give her a surprise.

Anjali (Sreekutty) and her friend have been extremely close friends for the past 26 years. Their friendship dates back to their school days. They were classmates and neighbours as well. Both their parents were also colleagues at All India Radio and shared a deep friendship. Because of this, the relationship between both families has also been very special.

After her friend moved to Canada last December, when Anjali's wedding date was fixed for May 2, she told her friend that she would not be able to attend the wedding. But in reality, she was preparing to give her friend a memorable surprise on her wedding day.

To make the surprise successful, she contacted the wedding photographer ‘Rajesh Durga Photography’. Initially, she could not get in touch, but through a mutual friend, she reached the photographer and explained the entire plan, requesting him to capture the special moments of the wedding on camera. Only her husband knew about this plan.

Just before the wedding, she told Anjali that she was travelling from Saskatchewan, Canada, to Vancouver for some official work. But in reality, she travelled nearly 48 hours to reach Kochi. After reaching Kochi early in the morning, she got ready and reached the wedding auditorium, where she watched the wedding rituals from outside.

When the wedding rituals were completed, she presented herself in front of her friend. Seeing her closest friend suddenly standing in front of her, tears came to Anjali's eyes. This moment of happiness and emotion became very special for everyone present there.

The tears of joy in the eyes of both friends' parents made this meeting even more emotional. For these two friends, who have supported each other for 26 years, this surprise became one of the memorable events of their lives.
