Kanker: A case involving the alleged gang rape of a minor girl has emerged from Kanker district in Chhattisgarh. According to police, four youths have been accused of sexually assaulting the 17-year-old girl. Following the complaint, police arrested all four accused and an investigation is underway.

According to police, one of the four accused was known to the minor girl. The girl had allegedly gone out of her home with the acquaintance. The acquaintance then allegedly took her to a village along with his three friends, where all four are accused of sexually assaulting the girl.

Family Informed Police After She Did Not Return Home Overnight

It was reported that when the girl did not return home until late Tuesday night, her family became concerned. They then contacted the police. After receiving the information, Kotwali police began searching for the girl.

During the search, the girl was found abandoned by the roadside in the Korar area. Police recovered her and sent her for a medical examination. According to police officials, the victim's statement and medical report are considered important parts of the investigation.

Four Accused Arrested

Police registered an FIR in the case and arrested four accused aged between 20 and 28 years. Police are questioning the accused to determine the complete circumstances of the incident. The police are also examining other aspects of the case and the available evidence.

Following the incident, concerns have been raised over security in the area. Local residents have demanded that the police administration strengthen security arrangements. Police have assured that action will be taken according to law.
